Korea University Anam Hospital is a premier academic research–focused (JCI-accredited) medical center in Seoul. Our aim is to build high-tech, A.I.-driven medical spaces of converging services and systems, where patients and health professionals experience cutting-edge medical research and technology, advanced infrastructure, and personalized treatment and care. The project will be a breakthrough approach to the built-environment for future medical institutions creating a visible impact in the overall healthcare community.Korea University Anam Hospital, equipped with A.I.-based systems and services, will be completed in 2022 over the course of two major phases. The new hospital building will house 11 floors above ground and 6 underground. Cancer center, cardiovascular center, cerebral infarction center, and amenity facilities are constructed during the 1st phase, and the extension of hospital wards, central plaza, and parking and access development will be preceded during the 2nd phase. Construction is currently being proceeded under rigorous construction supervision involving various excavation processes: removal of rock outcrops and hills, blasting and drilling underground owing to geological structures of the region, and the top-down construction method reducing time for construction.
